Welcome to WICA (Women in Construction Anglia)—a platform dedicated to empowering and supporting women and underrepresented groups within the construction industry. To maintain a safe, professional, and inclusive space, all members are expected to follow these Community Guidelines.
- Respect & Professionalism
- Treat all members with respect, courtesy and professionalism.
- Harassment, discrimination, bullying, or hate speech based on gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic will not be tolerated.
- Discussions should remain constructive and professional.
- Authenticity & Integrity
- Use your real name and accurate professional details.
- Do not impersonate others, provide misleading information, or misrepresent your experience.
- Share truthful, factual and industry-relevant content.
- No Spam, Promotions or Misuse
- No excessive self-promotion—this platform is about community and collaboration.
- Job postings, event advertisements, or business promotions must be relevant to the construction industry and follow platform guidelines.
- No mass messaging, unsolicited promotions, or recruitment spam.
- Privacy & Confidentiality
- Respect the privacy of other members—do not share personal information or private messages without consent.
- No screenshots, copying, or republishing of private conversations.
- Ensure that all shared content is non-confidential and appropriate.
- Zero tolerance for harmful behaviour
- Any form of threats, intimidation, or sexual harassment will lead to immediate removal and potential legal action.
- If you experience inappropriate behaviour, report it immediately through the platform’s moderation team.
- Moderation & Reporting Breaches
- WICA moderators review flagged content and accounts to ensure compliance with these guidelines.
- If you witness a breach, use the “Report” feature to notify moderators.
- Offenders may face:
- Warnings (for minor infractions)
- Temporary suspensions (for repeated offenses)
- Permanent bans (for serious or repeated breaches)
